Guests can walk to Llwyngwril beach (pebbly with patches of sand) in 10-15 minutes. There are beautiful sandy beaches within a short drive from the cottages in either direction.

How much deposit do we have to pay?

We ask guests to pay £60 for each of the cottages per short break or week. Please see our Terms & Conditions for more information.

How do we get access to our cottage when we arrive?

Before you arrive, we'll send you a booking form to complete which includes your estimated time of arrival. We will inform you by email how to access each cottage before arrival.

No, the price includes all heating, electricity, bed linen and towels.

Is there a shop and pub in the village?

Yes, there is a small shop/newsagent that sells most essentials but is open for a limited number of hours each day. There is one pub, The Garthangharad, that is very welcoming and serves food up to around 8.30 most evenings (not Sunday).

Can we reach your cottages by public transport?

Yes, there is a station in Llwyngwril (a request stop) and local buses to and from Twywn and Dolgellau.

How far is it to Snowdon?

It is 42 miles away and would take about 1hr 20 minutes to get to the car park at the bottom of the main paths. However, to avoid the huge crowds that turn Snowdon paths into packed motorways, why not try climbing our very own Cader Idris, a beautiful mountain right on our doorstep?

Can we arrange a supermarket delivery to the cottages?

The supermarkets that deliver to the village are Asda, Morrisons, Iceland and Tesco. See our Terms and Conditions for more information. We have good Cooperative supermarkets in Tywyn, Barmouth and Dolgellau, as well as a Eurospar in Dolgellau. There is an excellent butcher's shop in the next village of Fairbourne.

Fabulous Group Holiday Home

I booked Pentre Bach in December for a get away with friends to celebrate my fiance's 30th birthday, and I cannot begin to describe how perfect it was! The house is well appointed and beautiful, with more than enough space and seating for a larger group than us, as well as lovely thoughtful touches left by the owners...
